Brad Carlson has deep experience with both public and private companies. His mastery of complex federal and state tax laws serves clients of all sizes and types.
Prior to being elected a partner in 2015, Brad served as Director of Tax Services at Gray, Gray & Gray, leading an experienced and talented staff. His specialties include tax provision reviews, federal and multi-state corporate and pass-through tax planning, international tax planning, merger and acquisition consulting, and representing clients in federal and state tax audits. He is also adept at monitoring legislative and regulatory tax developments as well as communicating these changes to staff and clients. In addition, Brad serves as a key member of the firm’s Mergers &
Acquisitions Practice Group.
Brad joined Gray, Gray & Gray in 2011 after serving as Director of Tax Services for 12 years for national accounting firm RSM McGladrey, where he managed tax planning and compliance for clients in the manufacturing, retail, distribution, and service industries. Additionally, he was the Northeast Practice Leader of the Accounting Methods and Periods Group. His prior experience also includes national firms Deloitte & Touche and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
A graduate of Bentley University, Brad is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA), American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and MSCPA Real Estate Committee.
