Jim DeLeo has been a leader at Gray, Gray & Gray since he began his accounting career here more than 25 years ago, and today serves as the firm’s Leading Partner.
With his deep experience in all aspects of accounting, tax and financial matters, Jim serves a wide range of closely held clients in industries such as manufacturing and distribution, software and professional services. In addition, Jim established and co-chairs the firm’s Merger & Acquisition Practice Group.
Jim’s interest and experience in entrepreneurial finance allows him to serve as a key contributor to his client’s day-to-day accounting, tax and operational needs. His unique combination of professional experience in both business and accounting allows Jim to go “beyond the numbers” to support management in all aspects of running a business.
In his role as co-chair of our Merger & Acquisition Practice Group, Jim works closely with many of the region’s most prominent private equity firms, search funds and mezzanine lenders, and has the demonstrated ability to access capital on behalf of his clients.
Jim has authored articles for several business publications, has served as a speaker at various events, and has been a guest commentator on the Radio Entrepreneurs radio program. Jim is also an adjunct professor of Accounting at Merrimack College.
Jim joined Gray, Gray & Gray in 1990, and was elected Partner in 2002. He is a graduate of Bentley University where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minor in Management. Jim also earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Babson College, and a Master’s degree in Taxation from Suffolk University.
Jim is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association for Corporate Growth, and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.
